Illegally Downloaded Movies On CD

Yes. I have dowloaded illegal copies of movies in the past. But, don’t nobody go suing me though. My eventual goal is to buy all of these movies on DVD. Someday, in the future. It’ll take a while. Each movie with a line struck through it is a movie that I’ve since purchased.

    DVD List:
    It leaves a lot to be desired. I only see a few of worth. Blue Velvet (Dennis Hopper was a neat guy in the 70’s),Breakfast Club,(Molly was sexy in her pubie years, and filmed it close to home, Citizen Kane (Orson was Welsh and went to school up the road and looked like a family member), and Angeline Joli (ok lips like Molly). You watch too many movies and they are basically current stuff of little value. Someone once said, “go west young man…”. I have similar advice for you; Go North. (Some day I will write a book of famous quotes, all quotes made by myself). You say you want to be a writer, there is a good chance you have the potential. But first stop watching movies, especially those that are designed to make you mentally impotent. Next look up the list of known people besides Hemingway (his daughter was fun) that participated in the Spanish Revolution and they will teach you about what is needed to be a writer. Really, good luck and best wishes at the writing. You may just have the right stuff(don’t lose it before you have a chance to use it).

    I tend to disagree a bit with your statement that few of the DVDs on this list are of any worth. Not all movies have to be the next Citizen Kane to have value. Some movies have value if for nothing more than a couple of hours of mindless entertainment.

    How can one deny the motivational factor in Good Will Hunting?

    Have you heard the recreation of one of the greatest courtroom speeches by Alec Baldwin in the end of Ghosts of Mississippi?

    You like Blue Velvet, but can’t mention Lynch’s much better Mulholland Drive. If he’s ever created a masterpiece, then that’s it.

    I could go on to defend every movie in this entire list. I could give a reason why each movie has some sort of value, some “worth.” I do have better things to do with my time though.

    As far as being a writer, movies are a great motivational force for many writers. Writers like stories. Occasionally, one might find a decent story in movies.

    Sure, I have a long list of DVDs, but I also have a lot of books, magazines, blog subscriptions, and many other things that add value to my life.

    Out of sheer curiosity, what movies (not on this list) do you believe have value, or “worth”?
