We never actually worked on the weekend though. The only things we attended were company "sports" days, the annual banquet, and a few gatherings. They're fun things to do though. Your school might have some optional classes that it teaches on the weekends though. These will probably be volunteer work for additional pay. You'd have to ask your employer though to be sure.
