Oh, I think you may have misunderstood the exhausted post. That was just because of a lot of things I had to do last week with the added benefit of being sick.

But, I do know what you mean with it being a commitment. One thing I've always said is that this feature is an experiment. I don't think I mentioned that in this post though.

The only thing I'd say about "features" on a blog is that it tends to end up being something you HAVE to do.

Instead of just blogging what you want to talk about, you have this set blog that has to get posted once a week, or whatever timeline you set for doing it.

I know I'm doing two weekly features: A Friday Question that is pretty popular and Weekly DVD picks.

The downside is that commitment. I've missed the Friday question once until 1pm and got crap for it from my readers :)

I just thought about this stuff since you are "exhausted"...these kind of things can create more of that I think.

but they are damn fun regardless!

Mike, this has quickly become one of my favorite features of the blog. It gives me a chance to look back over some of the things I've read over the week and think a little more about them.

It also helps me become a better blogger. I get to ask essential questions about the nature of bookmarking. Why did I tag this item? What makes this article more important than others? Wrapping up each week definitely helps the blogging process.
