I admit conscious/conscience always trips me up, even in speech. Climatic/climactic is another one. I always thought capitol was a place (and capital was money held against something). I never knew when they said politicians met at the Capitol, it was a building; I thought it meant somewhere, anywhere in Washington, DC. Interesting. Reading about the difference between the words 'climatic' and 'climactic' reminded me about the one time I used the word 'anticlimactic' somewhere, so I went to check — I had used 'anticlimax' instead so no mistake there :P On a side note... I might end up telling all my English teachers about the ABCs series, so you might want to cut down a little on the naughty words (and no, I don't play Doom).
