    I’ve been running my update script with every new version number, but only running it when the database settings change is even smarter. Thanks for the tip!

    I want to see a plugin which is auto update upon adding new post. I am sponsoring a social plugin which would auto update which would be triggered after publishing a new post. My idea is putting a checkbox option in the New Post page and if it’s checked it will automatically get an update(if there is) from the server. You can implement it here.
