Holy crap, that looks awesome! I’m filing that idea away for later. Every summer, my group The Voodoo Empire hosts a bash with tonnes of DJs, and grub. We started going with a theme each year, and a cooking competition. Last year was spicy food, my pineapple ghost chile ribs rocked. But next year’s theme is bacon. I’m trying to sort out a trophy winning dish…. this idea is definitely one I’m going to think about running with!

This dish needs some fruit to round it out. We have a local BBQ shack that does a variation on this, and uh yes it is very good.

Very labor intensive and cooks great in an outside smoker as well.

That is some good bacon! It’s been a long time since I haven’t had a taste of it because I am always away from home and I only eat my sister’s bacon.

Epic Meal Time style? Not sure how many calories there are in it or how unhealthy it might be I’d eat it all

This looks amazing and something I just might want to try. I am always seeking out great ideas for our Food & Wine Fridays. While we are traveling, I like to explore new foods to try (and make myself).

It looks really really good. Do you need to salt it or its just salti enough with all the bacon.. ?

You should make a cooking book with “Bacon in a 100 ways” :) – would be a best seller, wouldn’t it.
    Anyway thanks for the inspiration.
