As far as I know, there’s two different color meats for watermelon: red and yellow. I actually find that most yellow-meat watermelons are a little sweeter too.
Just a note Farmer Tadlock, you can save time de-seeding by a blast from the shot-gun, lol. Just need a good collection container for the watermelon;) You guys get it a lot earlier than we do in the North…
Actually, my dad blasted a head’s snake off with that shotgun earlier in the afternoon. That’s why we had it out.
I like to keep a seed-spitting cup handy though. That makes it easy to save seeds for next year. That one watermelon provided enough seeds for both my dad’s garden and mine for next year.
We also saw a lot of melons in our live, but this one is really crazy, must be red inside!
There are others that are smaller an outside yellow,too.
Maybe its a new seed from Monsanto?
I have never seen a watermelon that looks like that inside.

Hm, I concur with Sridhar, in Europe and Asia the only color I’ve seen inside is the red version, only melons look like that here.
