2018-2019 network TV schedule

It’s premiere night at my house tonight, which means it’s time to break out the pizza and soda. With the season premieres of The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, and Manifest, I thought it was time to share my 2018-2019 network TV schedule. One of my favorite things to do … Continue reading →

When life gives you lemons...

You know, sometimes you just get tired of drinking all that lemonade. August started out great. It was the best month, financially, that I’ve had all year. I celebrated Theme Hybrid’s 10-year anniversary. And, I paid up all my hosting fees to keep the site going for its 11th year. … Continue reading →

Bottled blackberry wine

Last year, I began the process of starting a blackberry wine. Just before Christmas, I was able to bottle it and give most of it away as gifts. Of course, I kept a bottle of it for myself. It got pretty good reviews for my second go at wine making. … Continue reading →

2018: The year of books

One of the ideas behind permaculture is to stop fighting nature so much and work with it. Bill Mollison once said, “You don’t have a slug problem; you have a … Continue reading →

Early 2017 homestead

As this year’s spring season gets underway, I’ve already gotten the garden fever. That’s just a given for me after waiting and planning all winter. Here’s a look at some of the homestead so far this year. I’ve got a few other things planted that I hope to show in … Continue reading →

Happy 13th, Smeagle!

While everyone was celebrating Thanksgiving this past week, my oldest cat, Smeagle, was celebrating his 13th birthday. He wasn’t particularly fond of the camera. The above shots were the best I could get him to pose for in the last few days. Yes, Smeagle is named after the Lord of … Continue reading →

After grocery shopping today, some guy and his lady waited for me to put my groceries in my car and pull out just so they could get my space. I know that spot next to where you put your buggy is prime real estate in the Wal-Mart parking lot, but when there’s three parking spaces open next to me, I’m going to take my time and make sure you have a good, long wait while praying that some other ass swoops in and takes it at the last moment.
