Using this theme can be daunting for a newbie to WordPress or even someone that’s used to tinkering around with theme files. I hope this guide will get you started.
Installation
- Unzip the downloaded file. You’ll get a folder named “options.”
- Upload the “options” folder to your “themes” directory in your WordPress install.
- Login into WordPress admin panel (dashboard).
- Click on the “Presentation” tab.
- Click on the “options” theme screenshot or title to activate the theme.
Activate your stylesheet
The theme might not work by just activating it. You may have to set the stylesheet first.
In your WordPress administration panel (dashboard), click on the “Presentation” link. From that page, you can click on the “Options Theme Settings” link. This will take you to a page that will allow you to choose a stylesheet.

There’ll be plenty of other options to set up too. You can see all the options on the theme options page.
Set up your sidebar widgets
You may also want to set up your sidebar widgets. These make choosing which content you want in your sidebar painless. See the sidebar widgets page for your available options.
Begin posting
Once you’ve set up your main options, you can begin posting again.
When writing posts, custom fields play a large role if you want the sleek look you see in the demo. Read about the custom fields for this theme.
