Upgrading

Upgrading is a fairly simple process.

Step 1: Make a backup copy of your theme and save it to your computer just in case anything goes wrong.

Step 2: Delete all of you old theme files. This means delete the entire Structure folder in your /wp-content/themes directory.

Step 3: Upload the new version of Structure to your /wp-content/themes directory.

Step 4: Activate the theme if it’s not already done.

Step 5: In your WordPress dashboard, go to “Design > Structure Theme Settings.” Choose the layout options you want to use.

That’s it. You’re done.

Make sure you don’t just overwrite files as this might cause function conflicts. If you get some error that says you “cannot redeclare function X,” then you didn’t delete all of your old files. If you did delete them for sure, you might have to clear your browser’s cache, but it shouldn’t be a problem.

Adding your old stylesheet

So, maybe you’ve made a few style changes. That’s understandable. Your old stylesheet should work fairly well with the new version. The only major change is the tabbed categories section, which has been renamed to “Post Block Tabs.”

Take a look at the new stuff added and compare it to your old. I’ll be happy to help out in the forums if you have any problems.
