City: Two-Point Perspective

Hand-drawn city from a two-point perspective. City streets cross in an X.

The past three night’s drawing sessions have been dedicated to learning two-point perspective. Of course, in my infinite wisdom, I decided to take a tutorial on drawing a city. Not a simple living room. Not a kitchen in an apartment. A city. A whole city.

Needless to say, I drew more lines in that first session than I ever have in my entire life. But, I damn well learned how two-point perspective works.

Most of the second session was dedicated to inking the drawing. And, I shaded it on the final night.

I didn’t spend a lot of time with shading. I could probably touch it up a bit and go back and work over some of the inked lines. However, I accomplished my goal of learning two-point perspective. It’s time to move on and tackle new projects.
